though, although, as, even though

這些連詞均可表示“雖然，盡管”之意。
though: 和although在意義上幾乎毫無(wú)區(qū)別，但在習(xí)慣用法上這兩個(gè)詞仍有以下一些差異：1.though可引出倒裝語(yǔ)序的讓步狀語(yǔ)從句，although 則不能。2.though可與even連用，although則不能；在as though結(jié)構(gòu)中，只用though，不能用although。3.though可以置于從句末，而although則不能。4.引出省略句時(shí)，通常用though。
although: 與though在意義上相似，但文體上是比較正式用詞，語(yǔ)氣比though強(qiáng)。
as: 引出讓步狀語(yǔ)從句只用于倒裝語(yǔ)序結(jié)構(gòu)中，語(yǔ)氣強(qiáng)于上述兩個(gè)連詞。
even though: （＝even if），意為“即使”，引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句。though也引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句，意為“雖然”；even though有退一步設(shè)想的意味，與though不同。though引導(dǎo)的句子所說(shuō)的是事實(shí)，even though引導(dǎo)的句子所說(shuō)的則不一定是事實(shí)。例如：

he will not tell the secret even though（even if）he knows it．
